Coordinator, National Associations
Purpose and Scope
The Coordinator of National Associations serves as a key liaison between International Headquarters and National Associations worldwide. This role is responsible for providing country-specific support materials, sharing vital ministry information, and monitoring progress toward strategic ministry goals. A central focus of the position includes coordinating training programs for Executive Directors and other National Association staff, ensuring consistency, excellence, and alignment with ministry objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a balanced combination of technical expertise and strong communication skills. This person will promote best practices, support leadership development, and foster continuous improvement across National Associations—all while maintaining integrity and sensitivity to the unique needs of each country and the broader mission of the organization.
Essential Job Functions
- Foster relationships and equip Executive Directors and key staff from National Associations with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to lead their associations effectively, aligned with the vision, mission, and policies of The Gideons International.
- Analyze current National Association practices for relevance, simplicity, and impact, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance alignment, efficiency, and ministry effectiveness.
- Manage the National Association intranet page and accompanying country pages to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Oversee interpreters for international convention, conferences, and international cabinet meetings.
- Coordinate the development and updating of National Association Convention Binder materials and manage the processing of all convention reports and updates.
- Research and produce the National Association Travel Report to the International President.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Essential Functions
- Provide administrative support to the Manager, National Associations.
- Coordinate with Finance to update monthly reporting and fiscal year goals.
- Liaise with Member Engagement and Services to ensure timely and relevant material availability and Intranet postings.
- Promote collaboration between National Associations Division with other departments, maintaining a global perspective and awareness of National Associations needs.
- Work with National Associations Sr. Manager in reviewing NA budget development and goals.
- Work with National Associations Sr. Manager in organizing semiannual leadership forums.
Working Relationships
- Reports To: Senior Manager, National Associations
- People Management Responsibility: None
- Works Closely With: Director, Ministry Governance and Operations, National Executive Directors and staffs, Finance, International Countries Division, Headquarters Staff, key dignitaries.

- Proven ability to keep a big picture perspective, while dealing with very detailed information.
- Ability to use PC and widely-used software applications, especially Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn new software applications as necessary.
- Ability to provide strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally internally and externally as necessary.

Work Environment and Time Requirements
- Climate-controlled office environment.
- 8-hour workday.
- Variations in work volume occasionally require extended working hours.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Administrative experience.
- PC experience, especially in Microsoft Office applications.
- Successful completion of a drug and background screen.
