About the Role

The Coordinator – Logistics Operations will provide leadership and supervision for all operational activities including inbound receiving, storage, inventory, movement, and outbound shipping of products, materials, supplies, and equipment. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and support to stores serviced by the Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Supervise a team of 5 or more employees and their workflow to ensure maximum service levels are maintained.
  • Ensure safe and timely loading/unloading of inbound trucks and containers.
  • Manage the receipt of inbound purchase orders and transfers into the distribution center, including all documentation and communication regarding discrepancies.
  • Review daily priorities with leadership and adjust according to replenishment needs.
  • Coordinate the labeling and shipment of all outbound transfers from the distribution center, including documentation, system updates, and internal/external communication.
  • Monitor open doors in the warehouse to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections of packaging, product, and equipment.
  • Assist the Supervisor with performance management and recognition.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment meeting all safety standards.
  • Operate powered lift equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with business needs.

Requirements

  • Relevant work experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering results, managing teams, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of general warehouse safety rules.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Proficiency with software applications and transportation systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team, across all levels and diverse cultures, and lead team projects.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Working Conditions

This is an hourly position that may require hours exceeding eight in a day or forty in a week. Working hours are subject to change due to business needs, including flexible AM/PM shifts. Occasional travel, including air and car travel, may be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Medium Work – Ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
