Join the NFL Live Event Operations team as a full-time coordinator, supporting international and domestic events in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is based in New York City and requires significant travel.

About the role

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in live event operations, venue/stadium management, and logistical planning. This role primarily supports NFL International events, including the International Game Series, and assists with key League domestic events such as the Super Bowl, Draft, and Hall of Fame. The successful candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of large-scale event execution, vendor management, and exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and execution of the NFL’s major events, including master site planning, venue and facility management, vendor management, production, budget management, site operations, transportation, wayfinding, and logistical planning.
  • Work in an operational capacity onsite at tentpole and other events in various roles.
  • Support planning documents and onsite meetings, including planning trip dashboards, hotel/meeting space setups, A/V, IT, food and beverage, meeting scheduling, and transportation.
  • Handle assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring all parties are updated on progress and deadlines are met.
  • Identify and drive new opportunities/innovations across the NFL’s portfolio of events to increase revenue and evolve the event experience.
  • Support the internal RFP process year-over-year for third-party vendors at tentpole events.
  • Manage outside vendors and agencies as needed.
  • Set up cross-collaboration meetings and manage the needs of internal NFL departments at events, including Sponsorship, Consumer Products, PR/Communications, NFL Security, Football Operations, Broadcast & Media Operations, and NFL Creative.
  • Build long- and short-term event timelines, establishing deadlines and managing progress across the organization.
  • Attend and/or conduct meetings and walkthroughs on behalf of the events department.
  • Lead teams remotely or onsite at events.
  • Oversee administrative support for the Event Operations team, including event communication, meeting planning, scheduling, note-taking, and follow-ups.
  • Manage the execution of contracts and oversee the payment process for event operations vendors, including tracking progress.
  • Work with the events team to build effective and clear presentations across events and projects.
  • Participate in the After Action Reporting process, collect data, and turn it into outward-facing reports.
  • Develop production schedules and manage distribution lists.
  • Conduct research on venues, vendors, logistics, and technology as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in the events or sports industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse backgrounds and various levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work long hours, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
  • Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to oversee and motivate support staff.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally (up to 40% travel required).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

Salary range: $65,000—$75,000 USD. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in rare and exceptional circumstances would the NFL consider paying near the higher end of the range.

Schedule

This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location. Remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered. Significant travel is required, up to 40%.
