Princeton University Department of Athletics seeks a Coordinator, Intercollegiate Programming to support the department’s mission of excellence in academics and athletics through equity, sportsmanship, and ethical conduct. This role reports directly to the Deputy Director of Athletics and serves as the first point of contact for the department.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as scheduling director and manage all aspects of the EMS scheduling system, including development, maintenance, and coordination of athletic facility scheduling for practices, contests, special events, and meetings.
  • Handle select Bubble scheduling and communicate with coaches, staff, and university organizations to manage facility space for athletic contests, practices, and special events.
  • Generate and verify contracts for varsity home contests, monitor contractual arrangements for all home and away intercollegiate contests, and distribute scheduling reports to department staff and stakeholders.
  • Act as game day event operations manager for selected home athletic and external events, including hiring, training, and supervising event staff as directed by the Associate Director of Athletics for Event Operations.
  • Prepare and submit post-season bids, schedule meetings, and plan events on behalf of the Director and Deputy Director of Athletics.
  • Coordinate monthly staff meetings and represent the Deputy Director on committees as needed.
  • Assist with projects for the Director, Deputy Director, and Athletics Administrative Assistant, including research, presentations, and reports requiring discretion and confidentiality.
  • Serve as coordinator for the department’s contact software, Teamworks, including troubleshooting and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of one year of related experience.
  • Commitment to the Department of Athletics mission of Education Through Athletics and adherence to Ivy League and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Discretion in handling highly confidential material.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with intercollegiate scheduling.
  • Event management experience.
  • Advanced degree in sports management.

Pay

$62,000 to $72,000 annually.

Schedule

  • Full-time, 36.25 standard weekly hours.
  • Overtime not eligible.
  • Evening and weekend work required.
