About the role

The Coordinator of Facilities and Properties plays a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Department at Harbor. This position collaborates closely with executive leadership and vendors to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and coordinates routine maintenance inspections.
  • Manages badge and door access systems for all locations.
  • Oversees the maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems and the structural integrity and aesthetic appearance of Harbor facilities.
  • Aids in preparing bid specifications for contractors and ensures contractors provide necessary information for submitting bids.
  • Coordinates implementation of awarded projects to ensure compliance with bid, budgetary, and quality specifications.
  • Manages the duties of maintenance, janitorial, and other contractual vendors.
  • Collects bids and price comparisons for routine janitorial and related contractual vendors, and implements changes to contracts as needed.
  • Serves as a liaison for securing new vehicle leases and ensuring their maintenance.
  • Frequently available after hours for maintenance emergencies.
  • Stays updated on industry trends and developments relevant to the job.
  • Demonstrates continuous growth in essential job competencies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years prior experience in building construction, renovation work, property management, and supervisory experience.
  • Prior experience with computerized maintenance systems.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of personal auto insurance policy.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree preferred.

Skills

Must possess strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
