Job Summary

The Coordinator of Diagnostic Imaging Systems is an on-site, front-end user expert responsible for overseeing the daily operations of imaging applications. In collaboration with the Market Radiology Director, Information Systems, and the Specialist-in-Chief of Radiology, this role supports radiologists, technologists, and customers who use these applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive training and support to end-users to ensure they understand and maximize the functionality of imaging applications.
  • Function as a liaison between the Radiology department and internal/external stakeholders and must be able to work independently.
  • Manage and provide support for front-end imaging applications.
  • Ensure an elevated level of customer satisfaction by resolving user issues and addressing concerns.
  • Coordinate hospital information systems (HIS) to maintain accurate and timely data flow.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and DMC policies.
  • Implement external and internal audit recommendations as directed.

Qualifications

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB), AMRIT, or ARDMS.
  • A minimum of five years of radiology experience with advanced knowledge of general anatomy and radiology procedures.
  • A technical background is essential to succeeding in this role.
  • Successfully completed American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by end of orientation period.

  • Computer proficiency: Strong computer skills, specifically with medical imaging technologies.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills: Ability to apply sound judgment in choosing the proper course of action to oversee methods, guides, and processes.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and people skills to interact with internal and external customers.
  • Leadership and project management: Exhibiting leadership skills, including a willingness to take on accountability, make decisions, and inspire others.
