About the role
The Coordinator, Cross-Dock Operations is responsible for evaluating pricing and transportation options, supporting the Operations Department, and assisting with day-to-day dock activities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate pricing and transportation options to provide exceptional customer service
- Carry out assignments in conducting work for EFW and its clients
- Interpret and implement standardized management policies
- Serve as the front-line communicator for customer and vendor disputes
- Manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Identify and manage shipments at risk of service failure
- Communicate promptly and effectively with internal and external clients and service providers
- Maintain 100% compliance with TSA regulations
- Utilize Internet tracking applications to monitor shipment status
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas
- Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures
Requirements
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications
- Proficient in completing air and ground shipping documents
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
- Strong work ethic, positive demeanor, and cooperative attitude
- Professional appearance and image
- Effective problem-solving, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to speak English
- Complete customer satisfaction and create repeat business opportunities

- Knowledge of continental United States geography

Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate's degree (or equivalent) in a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or other transportation business
- Experience working with Dangerous Goods/HAZ-MAT certification desired
