About the role
ZAGG is seeking a Coordinator, Brand Marketing to join our dynamic team. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Brand Marketing and will be responsible for ideating and executing brand stories for ZAGG and mophie.
Responsibilities
- Generate story ideas and content concepts based on brand positioning, product truths, consumer insight, and cultural relevance.
- Develop detailed concepts from initial thoughts through to a clear, articulated idea that creative teams can build against.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions, bringing considered ideas and fostering collaboration among team members.
- Build a deep understanding of consumer audiences for both brands and use this knowledge to craft stories that resonate with target markets.
- Create clear, thorough content briefs that outline objectives, audiences, key messages, channel requirements, deliverables, and timing for creative teams.
- Track and review briefs throughout the production process to ensure alignment with original intent and make adjustments as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including creative, email, digital, social, paid media, and affiliate marketing to ensure brand stories are appropriately adapted for each channel.
- Support brand campaigns and product launches from concept through delivery, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain consistency of brand voice, tone, and visual standards across all content and channels.
- Manage timelines and deliverables for multiple concurrent initiatives and two brands, maintaining high-quality output without compromising on quantity.
- Organize and maintain file structures and asset libraries for easy access to current, approved materials.
- Compile content and campaign performance reporting to inform future concepting efforts.
Requirements
- Experience 1 to 3 years in brand marketing, content, social, or a related creative discipline, preferably within consumer electronics, mobile accessories, CPG, or a lifestyle brand.
- Experience developing creative or content briefs, or comparable experience translating ideas into direction for creative teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
- Exposure to omni-channel marketing, including any combination of email, digital, social, paid media, or affiliate, is a strong plus.
Skills & Capabilities
- Ideation: Ability to start from a blank page and develop a compelling story idea, explaining the reasoning behind it.
- Writing: Clear, concise, and versatile writing skills, capable of crafting content briefs, campaign narratives, and channel-specific copy.
- Consumer orientation: Understanding of target audiences and using that understanding to shape stories that connect with consumers.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Collaboration: Effective communication and partnership with creative and channel teams, building trust through reliability and quality of thought.
- Tools: Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management platforms. Familiarity with Figma, Smartsheets, or similar tools is a plus.
