Coord Scheduling
About the role
Manage all surgical block assignments and case scheduling for Operating Rooms at all three inpatient towers, FSC/CSC, and Pain Management at Ayers. Accurately coordinate scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations with departmental surgery schedulers to maximize resource utilization for maximum efficiency.
Manage Surgical Services equipment warranties and service contracts. Process Peoplesoft requisitions for special orders, bill-only items, and equipment repairs. Initiate and facilitate FDA device tracking audits to ensure Surgical Services compliance with the Medical Tracking Device Policy. Research incomplete records and problem-solve intra- and inter-departmentally to ensure accuracy of all relevant information.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of office or clerical experience required, including at least six (6) months of experience in a healthcare setting; operating room (OR) experience is preferred.
- Experience should include knowledge of hospital or medical practice scheduling systems, billing and charge systems, and data collection and entry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base.
