Overview

We are seeking a Cook who can prepare a variety of food items, manage their station, and communicate effectively with team members. The position requires weekend and holiday availability, 15-20 hours per week, and shifts between 10am and 6pm.

Responsibilities

• Refers to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift
• Completes opening and closing checklists daily
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Safely uses a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
• Maintains proper portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules
• Handles, stores, labels, and rotates all products properly
• Prepares ingredients and understands various cooking methods
• Multitasks in a high-volume kitchen
• Works in hot and cold work conditions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience
• At least 18 years of age
• At least one (1) year of relevant cooking experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Prior experience cooking or kitchen experience in a cafeteria or large volume production facility a plus
• Experience with safety procedures as typical in a cafeteria or food service environment

Pay

$17.50 per hour

Schedule

Shifts between 10am and 6pm, 15-20 hours per week, with weekend and holiday availability
