Beztak is looking to hire a Cook to join our team. The Cook performs all necessary duties to uphold the community’s standards of quality and excellence in food, service, and hospitality. The position is responsible for preparing well-presented meals in a timely fashion according to the scheduled menu and/or resident requests. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs all aspects of meal preparation, cooking and presentation as assignedCompletes prep work as required for future mealsAssists in the completion of the order sheets to maintain the appropriate level of supplies and inventoryMaintains refrigerator and freezer in an organized manner and as required by the health departmentAssists in the storage of stock items that have been deliveredMaintains a clean and safe workspace and work environmentSweeps and mops kitchen area as assignedAssists wait staff when required and neededAdheres to all food handling regulationsKnows and uses provided Universal Precautions and Personal Protective Equipment, according to requirements established by OSHAOperating a company vehicle or personal vehicle (as required) to perform job duties. This includes criminal background checks, fingerprinting (where applicable) and drug testing.
