Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and supervise cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to uniform, appearance, cooking techniques, and safety protocols.
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring quality, consistency, and professional presentation.
- Monitor staff compliance with policies, including employee meals, breaks, time, and attendance.
- Maintain high sanitation standards, ensuring all food safety guidelines are followed.
- Assist in managing food ordering, inventory control, and kitchen organization.
- Support the Executive and Sous Chefs in menu rollouts, production planning, and service meetings.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, guests, and fellow team members.
Requirements
- Two years of kitchen experience in a high-volume or upscale dining environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, guests, and team members.
- Able to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic computer skills and experience with commercial kitchen equipment.
