About the role
Small Cheval- Riverside, a part of Hogsalt, is seeking Full Time Line Cooks ($19-$20/hour) who embody Hogsalt’s core values of harmony, accountability, and resilience. Responsibilities
- Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies, ensuring proper inventory control.
- Cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, adhering to the Hogsalt Recipe Index and meeting food quality and time standards.
- Maintain clear communication, understand and respond to menu item call-backs, and engage in open dialogue with the kitchen team.
- Follow instructions and direction from Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or other leadership, and properly clean and break down station at the end of service.
- Maintain compliance with kitchen operation procedures and food safety standards and regulations.
- Display a positive and professional demeanor towards coworkers, leadership, vendors, and guests.
Qualifications
- 1 year of cooking experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant.
- Passion for excellence, superior service standards, and a positive attitude.
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift, including frequent bending, lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds, and stooping.
- Ability to remain positive and productive in potentially hot or cold work environments.
