About the role

Join our EPIC team at Cascade Senior Care Center! Our Cooks prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our guests and ensure the highest quality standards of food service and the best culinary experience is provided at all times. They work closely with the Executive Chef to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following all necessary guidelines and regulations
• Coordinate food production to coincide with meal serving times ensuring excellence in quality, temperature and appearance are achieved
• Assist with tray line setup and plate assembly
• Assist with daily cleaning requirements in the kitchen
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in every daily interaction with guests, their families, and visitors
• Through kind words and encouragement, promote a positive, healthy environment in which to heal and thrive

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic Computer Skills
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures
• Experience in a Long Term Care facility is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care
• Team player, dedicated to doing what it takes to support team members and get the job done

Pay

Starting wage $17.00 per hour plus Hero Pay $0.85 per hour ($17.85 total per hour) with yearly wage increases.

Schedule

Part Time position with rotating weekends and some holidays, Day Shift, no late nights.
