Job Summary

Join our team at Bay Shores Senior Care and Rehab Center! Our cooks prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our residents and ensure the highest quality standards of food service and the best culinary experience is provided at all times.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Dietary Director to create and review menus
• Prepare food according to established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and policies and procedures
• Coordinate food production to coincide with meal serving times
• Auxiliary tasks such as tray line setup and plate assembly
• Assist with daily cleaning requirements in the kitchen
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in interactions with guests, their families, and visitors

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• ServSafe certification
• At least 1 year of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care or long term care LTC facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures

Schedule

• 8 hour shifts including rotating weekends and some holidays
