About the Role

Join the culinary team at Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel—one of Chicago’s most iconic and historic hotels, blending timeless elegance with modern hospitality in the heart of the city's Theater District. For over 150 years, the hotel has welcomed guests from around the world with exceptional service, luxurious accommodations, and rich architectural charm. As a Lead Cook, you’ll help preserve this legendary legacy while delivering unforgettable dining experiences in one of Hilton’s most celebrated properties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality dishes according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Manage guest orders efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of menu offerings, handle complex recipes, and oversee stations, execution, quality control, and inventory checks.
• Inspect all preparations and dishes ahead of serving to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards.
• Keep food service stations stocked and sanitary while following proper food handling, storage, and safety protocols.
• Coordinate timing and plating, manage/direct cooks during shifts, assist with inventory checks, ordering, shift briefings, and special features.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member well-being.
