About the role

The pay for this position is $17.00 / hour. Exciting opportunity to work at Ocean Downs Casino only 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches and boardwalk of Ocean City, MD! This is a full time, year around, developmental position with an excellent compensation package. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
• Prepares food as directed by the Chef or Sous Chef to the specifications of recipes and standards.
• Fully versed in fast food and short order cooking methods; able to multitask.
• Able to perform related duties in short order outlets.
• Able to perform food prep work, i.e., chopping, dicing, slicing.
• Ensures that the working area is clean and sanitary in accordance with Local, State and Federal Health Department codes.
• Promotes outstanding customer relations.
• Promotes honesty and trust among the team.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Abilities

• One (1) to Two (2) years related experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
• Ability to consistently comprehend, retain and execute written, verbal and demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
• Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming establishment employees.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds without difficulty, repeatedly.
• Must be able to sit, walk or stand for extended periods of time without difficulty.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
