Job Overview

Ebenezer is seeking a Cook/Chef to join their Assisted Living team at Amira Choice Roseville Lexington Senior Living. The community is located in Roseville, MN, adjacent to both Minneapolis and St. Paul, offering a convenient location for employees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items to specified temperatures, following standardized recipes to ensure consistent quality, nutritional value, and proper portioning.
• Weigh and measure ingredients per standardized recipes.
• Assemble meals and bakery items within designated time frames, complete daily preparation tasks accurately, and assist with special events.
• Properly prepare texturized diets utilizing International Dysphagia Diet Standardization (IDDSI) standards.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by following proper cleaning schedules, using recommended equipment and chemicals, separating clean and dirty areas, and thoroughly scrubbing pots and pans as required.
• Demonstrate the ability to supervise kitchen staff, manage daily operations and customer service in the supervisor’s absence, and effectively communicate resident and guest feedback on meal and service quality.

Requirements

• 0 - 1 Year Experience
• Must be 18+ years old
• Food Handlers certification Issued by an ANAB-CFP accredited food sanitation program within 90 Days or Preferred Qualifications
• Vocational School Technical Training or Associate Degree - Food Service
• 1 - 3 Years Experience
• Working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications
• Food Protection Manager certification Issued by an ANAB-CFP accredited food sanitation program within 90 Days or Certified Food Protection Manager certificate (CFPM)
• Must be issued by the State of Minnesota for locations in the state of MN within 90 Days

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Pay

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.

Schedule

This flexible schedule culinary services position includes casual/on call Days and early evenings.
