About the role

This position prepares and cooks food for daily production demands. This position also coordinates preparation, service, and delivery of special foodservice orders and catered events. This position is responsible for supervising and monitoring compliance with sanitation and infection control procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks food for daily production demands
• Cooks food according to recipes and food safety guidelines
• Coordinates preparation, service, and delivery of special foodservice orders and catered events
• Serves food to patients and staff in a timely and efficient manner
• Supervises and monitors compliance with sanitation and infection control procedures and standards
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen and dining areas
• Ensures adherence to food safety regulations and policies

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum Experience: Two years experience in an institutional foodservice setting
• Licensing/Certification: Sanitation course certificate or must be eligible to complete a sanitation certification course
• Equipment/Tools: Knowledge of the use, handling and maintenance of kitchen prep and cooking utensils, small kitchen appliances and institutional size kitchen appliances

Qualifications

• Formal training in institutional food preparation

• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and tools
• Ability to follow recipes and food safety guidelines
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Minimum Hourly Pay: $20.34
