About the role

This position is responsible for preparing and serving meals at Waterford Communities, ensuring a positive impression through artistic presentation of delicious and nutritious meals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve three complete meals a day for 60+ people.
• Cook and bake from scratch, following established recipes.
• Assist Prep Cook/Line Cook as necessary.
• Maintain a clean working environment according to food codes and regulations.
• Supervise dishwashers.
• Follow all requirements as noted in the employee manual and duties as assigned by the administrator.

Requirements

• 3+ years of food preparation, baking and cooking, demonstrated experience required.
• A High School diploma/GED required.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers and Cook permit from the State of Nebraska.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation a must.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including every other weekend.
• Must be a team player.
• Must be professional and have good customer service skills with co-workers, residents, and visitors.
• Must follow all requirements as noted in the employee manual and duties as assigned by the administrator.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge to implement appetizing plate presentation.
• Willingness to learn new recipes and follow the daily/weekly/monthly dietary menu.
• Professional and good customer service skills with co-workers, residents, and visitors.
• Ability to perform any task required to ensure the residents' needs are fulfilled.

PayScale based on years of experience.

Hours will fluctuate, must be reliable and on time. Must be a team player.
