What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, menus, and portion guidelines
- Ensure meals meet quality, presentation, and dietary standards
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control policies
- Support special diets and dietary restrictions as directed
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and food prep areas
- Assist with inventory, storage, labeling, and rotation of food items
- Work closely with the dining services team to ensure timely meal service
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking experience in healthcare, senior living, or high-volume food service preferred
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling practices
- Ability to follow recipes, menus, and instructions consistently
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
