Overview

We are seeking a Cook who can prepare a variety of food items, manage their station, and communicate effectively with team members. The role requires open availability from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Refers to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Safely uses a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
• Maintains proper portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules
• Handles, stores, labels, and rotates all products according to state laws
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations
• Prepares ingredients and understands various cooking methods
• Multitasks in a high-volume kitchen and handles hot and cold work conditions
• Performs physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience
• At least 18 years of age
• At least one (1) year of relevant cooking experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Prior experience cooking or kitchen experience in a cafeteria or large volume production facility preferred
• Experience with safety procedures as typical in a cafeteria or food service environment
