We are seeking a motivated & dedicated Cook to join our team at our Senior Living Community in Missoula, MT. Come join our team of caring professionals as we work together to care for our seniors and provide them the lifestyle they deserve by serving them delicious meals throughout the day; from breakfast to dinner and every where in between.

Job Description

Our cooks prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations, as well as state & company standards. To be successful, you must be diligent, pay attention to detail, be able to run a line by yourself or as part of a team, be able to think fast on your feet and be able to follow basic instructions (written and/or verbal).

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining a well-organized and efficient food service department
• Demonstrates understanding of all basic food production skill sets with the ability to perform these error-free and meet the company quality standards
• Prepares and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized manner
• Communicate between the front & back of the house
• Talk to residents when necessary to discuss likes and dislikes of the meal offered

Qualifications

• Experience and/or knowledge of meal preparation
• Safe food handling techniques (Safe Serve preferred but not required)
• Ability to read and follow recipes
• Ability to work with others or by self
• Understanding of different cooking techniques, cook times, food storage and proper food handling
• Multitasking is a plus
• Open communication with staff and residents
• Identify flavor profiles (what does and does not go together)

Benefits
