Key Responsibilities
- Prepare & serve meals for students & staff using standardized recipes & established production procedures.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, food safety, cleanliness, & kitchen organization.
- Receive, store, & rotate food & supply deliveries.
- Auxiliary with inventory management & food production records.
- Complete required food safety & HACCP documentation, including temperature & sanitation logs.
- Support special events, community meals, & fundraising activities.
- Auxiliary with dishwashing, cleaning, & organization of kitchen & storage areas as needed.
- Communicate student preferences & feedback to culinary leadership.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, & visitors.
- Follow all Riverview policies, food service standards, & Department of Health regulations.
Qualifications
- At least one year of professional cooking experience.
- ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain certification before employment.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, & basic cooking techniques.
- Ability to follow recipes, production schedules, & preparation quantities accurately.
- Strong communication, teamwork, & organizational skills.
- Flexibility & willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
