About the role

Both Inc Golden Corral is seeking energetic, friendly HOT COOKS, GRILL COOKS, FRY COOKS, and DISPLAY COOKS to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Part-time and Full-time positions available
• Flexible AM and PM shifts
• Free all-you-can-eat buffet meal every shift
• Performance raises
• Advancement opportunities
• No experience necessary – training provided

Food Production

• Prepares all hot buffet products according to Golden Corral recipes and procedures
• Uses various cooking equipment to prepare items according to Golden Corral standards
• Maintains freshness and quality of all products
• Restocks items at the Display Cooking Station if the Buffet Attendant is unavailable
• Follows the buffet production system to ensure quality and shelf life compliance

Operational Excellence

• Maintains correct temperatures during cooking, holding, and serving
• Uses production guides to manage inventory
• Conducts opening and closing administrative procedures
• Maintains and properly uses equipment according to the Equipment Maintenance manual
• Restocks and rotates food products using FIFO method
• Takes inventory at the start and end of each shift

Cleanliness

• Ensures cooking areas and small wares are clean
• Performs duty roster and ensures cleanliness, service, and quality standards are met
• Fulfills local health department requirements
• Maintains cleanliness and operability of cooking equipment, utensils, and equipment

Guest Service

• Ensures cooked foods are always hot and fresh for guests
• Knows and follows position responsibilities related to just-in-time delivery
• Is friendly and courteous to guests and assists them with products
• Maintains professional communication at all times

Qualifications

• Standing and walking for 3-4 hours without breaks
• Moderate-to-heavy lifting and carrying (20-50 lbs.)
• Bending, reaching, and using tools like tongs and spatulas
• Work environment includes temperature extremes within a restaurant setting
