Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare delicious, well-balanced meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
  • Follow standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and food safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with the dietary team to assist with menu planning.
  • Monitor inventory levels and help restock supplies as needed.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • At least 1 year of professional cooking experience (healthcare setting preferred).
  • Prior experience in a dietary role within a nursing home, hospital, or similar environment (preferred).
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and batch cooking practices.
  • Culinary training or long-term care experience (a plus).
  • Strong team player with a passion for serving others.
