Key Responsibilities
- Prepare delicious, well-balanced meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
- Follow standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and food safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the dietary team to assist with menu planning.
- Monitor inventory levels and help restock supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- At least 1 year of professional cooking experience (healthcare setting preferred).
- Prior experience in a dietary role within a nursing home, hospital, or similar environment (preferred).
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and batch cooking practices.
- Culinary training or long-term care experience (a plus).
- Strong team player with a passion for serving others.
