About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a cook who brings culinary skills to help prepare therapeutic and modified diets for patients. This role offers a chance to work in a supportive, inclusive environment and make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
- Prepare therapeutic and modified diets for patients according to menus, recipes, and oral instructions.
- Follow menus and recipes to ensure food satisfaction.
- Plan food preparation timing to meet patient needs.
- Ensure food meets taste, texture, temperature, and appearance standards.
Qualifications
- Possession of a food handler's permit, if required by state or county regulations.
- Training in food preparation for therapeutic diets.
- Recent institutional cooking experience and/or exposure to special function cooking.
- Familiarity with HACCP and food safety guidelines.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, or night shifts.
