Responsibilities
- Performs food preparation and cooking while maintaining all quality standards.
- Prepares and cooks a variety of meals, adhering to recipes, and ensuring every dish meets our high standards for taste, nutrition, and presentation.
- Operates cooking equipment following established procedures and safety precautions.
- Ensures a clean and secure working environment.
- Manages meal service, including plating and serving food according to residents' dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Adheres to all sanitation and food safety regulations, including temperature checks and proper food storage.
- Affords assistance in menu planning and inventory management, ensuring a consistent supply of fresh ingredients.
- Collaborates with the dietary team to create a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- SafeServ Certification.
- A positive and energetic individual with creativity.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a group.
- The ability to manage tasks efficiently while collaborating with the rest of the dietary staff.
- Available to work weekends.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic, pureed) is preferred.
Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
