Job Duties

• Prepares, seasons, and cooks food for hospital patients, employees, and visitors.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of /Skill/Ability to:
• Training in institutional food preparation preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:
• Current Food Handler’s Certificate or able to obtain within thirty (30) days.

• Experience:
• Minimum Experience: On-the-job-training

Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions

• Physical Demands:
• Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.), frequent prolonged standing/walking.
• Work Environment Conditions:
• Subject to burns and cuts; exposed to hot and humid work environment; exposed to hazards of steam and heat; exposed to heat, wetness, and odors in kitchen and/or painted areas; exposed to varying degrees of kitchen elements.
• Position involves standing, walking, stooping. May be required to sit for extended periods of time.
• Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
