What You'll Do
- Review menus and prepare meals according to planned menus, therapeutic diet requirements, and alternative selections while adhering to sanitary and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the dietitian to implement recommended changes and ensure proper meal preparation.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked food storage and preparation areas, ensuring supplies are ready for each meal.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with CNAs and other team members to support smooth kitchen and resident operations.
- Participate in in-service programs and perform other duties as assigned to support the dietary department.
What You'll Need
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
- Maintains required competencies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Physically able to stand, sit, walk, bend, squat, and lift/carry up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds or more with assistance.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and following instructions in English.
- Previous experience in food preparation and kitchen operations preferred.
