Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements, including texture modifications (e.g., pureed, mechanical soft)
- Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas
- Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering and receiving supplies as needed
- Communicate effectively with dietary staff and nursing team regarding special diets or resident preferences
- Follow resident-specific dietary plans, allergies, and physician-ordered restrictions
- Assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties as assigned
- May assist with supervision of dietary staff and servers, including meal service and scheduling
