About the role
The Cook is responsible for meal preparation to assure that all foods are prepared to meet dietary needs of residents and are in accordance with all health and safety regulations. Hours are 6:30am - 2:30pm with an every-other weekend obligation. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Creates an environment of respectful teamwork supervising and working alongside Dietary Aides
- Ensures food preparation / sanitation practices and policies are followed in a safe environment
- Prepares and serves the diet prescribed by residents' physicians in a friendly, customer service oriented manner
- Affords a professional demeanor at all times; acts as a role model to other staff
- Completes other duties as assigned by the Dietary Director
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- High school or GED preferred
- Two Years Experience In The Food Service Industry Preferred
Qualifications
- Must have the required annual Tuberculosis (TB) testing and Annual Health Assessment
- Must have the required references and criminal record check
