About the role

Our cooks prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our residents and ensure the highest quality standards of food service and the best culinary experience is provided at all times. They work closely with the Dietary Director to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents following established menus and recipes
• Ensure meals meet quality and portion control standards
• Adhere to sanitary regulations and facility policies
• Collaborate with the Dietary Director to create and review menus

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility
• Strong knowledge of food procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care
• Team player mindset, dedicated to supporting team members

Pay

$17.00 - $18.95 per hour based on experience, plus $0.85 per hour Hero Pay. Yearly wage increases.

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time positions available
• All shifts include rotating weekends and some holidays
• Morning/Day Shift (First Shift): 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM (no late nights)
