Encore Boston Harbor is a luxury global destination gaming resort featuring 671 hotel rooms with panoramic views of the Boston skyline and Boston Harbor. It is the largest private single-phase development in the Commonwealth's history, encompassing a six-acre park along the Mystic River and connected to Boston Harbor.
Job Responsibilities
- Adheres to all Encore Boston Harbor core values and department standards.
- Contributes to departmental performance and accuracy of policies and procedures.
- Maintains a high level of service and satisfaction.
- Communicates difficulties, guest comments, and other relevant information to superiors.
- Notifies chef on duty if unable to complete tasks within allotted time.
- Attends and participates in daily briefings and meetings.
- Prepares and resets working area, cleans up after shifts.
- Maintains safety standards and continues education in the industry.
Job Requirements
- Age 18 or above.
- Required to obtain and maintain a license from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
- ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Culinary arts or related field education or experience preferred.
- Demonstrated sanitation and culinary knowledge, knife skills, and safe food handling practices preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of cooking experience preferred.
- Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, respond to inquiries, and write instructions.
- Basic mathematical calculations, deciphering reports, maintaining reports upon request.
- Moderate physical ability to lift and maneuver at least 50 pounds, stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
