Converting Operator - SOS

About the role

Hood Packaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Converting Operator for the Sibley Plant. The position operates a machine for maximum production of defect-free SOS and Satchel bottom bags on a 3rd shift schedule from 11:45 PM to 8 AM (Monday - Friday).

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely operate the machine for maximum production of defect-free SOS and Satchel bottom bags.
• Achieve no defective product reaching the customer to ensure a profitable operation.
• Ensure the product meets customer specifications and runs efficiently on their equipment.
• Assume responsibilities in the absence of the Converting Operator, as designated by the Production Manager.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience operating converting machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using converting machinery.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina for standing and working at a workstation.

Skills

• Knowledge of converting machinery and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
