Converting Operator

About the role

Operate state-of-the-art printing presses to deliver high-quality printing and finishing services for film, paper, and specialty materials.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the gamma winder, duplex winder and bag machine performing a variety of tasks
• Rewind, trim and slit rolls
• Fix profile issues on finished goods
• Pack skids using corner boards, slip sheets, headers and proper taping
• Maintain a clean, organized, “set in order” and “shine” environment in the work areas
• Absorb other areas of production with tasks when needed
• Open stock and cut cores
• Use forklift and clamp truck to move material throughout the plant
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening

Qualifications

• Essential Qualifications: Basic computer skills including email, data entry, operating within multiple systems
• Preferred Qualifications: Basic computer knowledge, previous manufacturing experience

Pay

• Starting Salary: Wages ranging from $21.00 - $26.00+ per hour, dependent on experience level

Schedule

• Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2-2-3 schedule
• Work: Monday & Tuesday – Off: Wednesday & Thursday
• Work: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday Off: Monday & Tuesday
• Work: Wednesday & Thursday – Off: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
• 12-hour static shifts (Nights - 6:00pm – 6:00am) (Days - 6:00am - 6:00pm)
