About the role
Join us as a Converting Operator and take charge of high-speed bag machines that produce quality flexible packaging.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate high-speed bag machines
- Maintain quality (regular checks throughout each run)
- Troubleshoot issues and partner with Maintenance when needed
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and housekeeping
- Track production, scrap, and efficiency data accurately
- Cook with teammates to maximize uptime
- Ensure machines run smoothly through shift changes
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude (bag-making or similar experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfort in a fast-paced production environment
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and quality
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand for 12-hour shifts (with breaks)
- Bend, reach, and move comfortably
- Distinguish colors for print quality checks
Schedule
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday - 5:30-5:45
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday - 5:30-5:45
Available on both night and day shifts.
Week 1: 49 hours
Week 2: 36.75 hours
