Conversion Operator

About the role

This position is a 12-hour shift, 4-5 days a week, with the potential for overtime. The Conversion Operator prepares, operates, and maintains roll-feed equipment, ensuring product quality and special requests are met.

• Reads and understands job card call-out specifications, confirming production card and product alignment.
• Operates various equipment and vehicles, using hand tools as required; arranges routine maintenance and repairs for conversion equipment.
• Works closely with Packers and Production Assistants to pack bags, move pallets, and unload boxes.
• Communicates effectively with team members about changes or flagged rolls.
• Performs routine safety checks on machinery and reports unsafe conditions to Supervisors and Maintenance.
• Monitors daily machine operations to ensure effective production.
• Threads film through rollers on conversion machines.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience running machinery.
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication) for accurate reporting.
• Essential reading and writing skills.
• Ability to stand for 8-12 hours.

Pay

Base range: $17.50–$18.00/hour + overtime + benefits + PTO.
