Convention Services Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Convention Services Manager to join our Sales Team at La Posada de Santa Fe, A Tribute Portfolio Resort & Spa. This position offers highly competitive wages, an exceptional benefits package, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Responds in a timely manner to incoming group/catering business opportunities.
• Sets up and presents hotel sites to potential clients.
• Creates contracts and other related booking documentation as required.
• Maintains client account files and prospects for new business.
• Attends industry events and participates in sales blitzes.
• Builds and maintains strong client relationships.
• Details events, including food & beverage, set up, and audio visual needs.
• Communicates client needs to all hotel departments.
• Ensures hotel staff follows through on all requests.
• Uses negotiation skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.

Requirements

• Excelling interpersonal, sales, and customer service skills.
• Two years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in convention services planning or other relevant markets is preferred.
• Prior Marriott brand knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in convention services planning or similar roles.
• Knowledge of Marriott brands is beneficial.
