About the role
The C-Store Clerk is responsible for providing STAR treatment to all customers and ensuring compliance with the overall policies and procedures of Lucky Star Travel Plaza.
Schedule
- Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
- Monday through Sunday, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Requests for specific days off require advance notification and supervisor approval
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly customer service and assist customers as necessary
- Take and prepare food orders
- Maintain food products in accordance with health regulations and company standards
- Maintain and reconcile cash drawer
- Responsible for maintaining inventory stock
- Maintain overall cleanliness of all areas of the C-Store
- Create a safe environment for the Store & Deli
- Operate all assigned equipment (register, fryers, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Greet guests and co-workers in a professional, friendly manner while exhibiting STAR treatment
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Physical Requirements
- Stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with a lunch break
- Requires bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting, and pulling
- Move objects up to and exceeding 25 lbs. with reasonable accommodations
Requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must maintain a valid Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming License
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent retail experience
- Basic mathematical skills
- Computer literate
- Basic verbal and written communication skills
Criteria for Gaming License Disqualification
- Felonies: Absolutely no felonies within the past ten (10) years
- Misdemeanors:
- Theft/Fraud within two (2) years: Automatic disqualification
- Domestic Abuse/Assault and Battery within two (2) years: Automatic disqualification (unless applicant can provide proof of attending a treatment program)
- Drug/Alcohol-related offenses within two (2) years: Automatic disqualification (unless applicant can provide proof of attending a treatment program)
