Storeroom Clerk -FT - Shift Varies

About the role

The Storeroom Clerk reports to the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining food storage areas, ordering supplies, managing food costs, and assisting with other kitchen tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
• Orders food, paper, and chemical products per production needs/pars.
• Fulfills floor stock requirements as needed.
• Cleaning and organization of food storage areas including storeroom, walk-in refrigerators and freezers and reach-in refrigerators and freezers.
• Sanitation and organization of dock and receiving areas.
• Sanitation duties of boxes, trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Follows Federal and State long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies and procedures.
• Assists with stocking of food, food Rotation-FIFO.
• Practices safety, infection control, and emergency procedures according to facility policies.
• Assists in the receiving and storing food and supplies as needed.

Requirements

• Licensure or other certifications: None required.
• Education: High School Diploma.
• Experience: One (1) year related experience and/or training in sanitation.

• Education: Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Preferred: None preferred.

Skills

• Good interpersonal skills.
• Moves and manipulates various food products, dietary supplies, and equipment throughout the facility.
• Sanitation and upkeep of all storage areas.
