Controls Technician Apprentice

About the role

Field-based: Work is conducted on-site at customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of electrical and electronic circuits (Beginner–Intermediate)
• Safe use of hand tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment (Beginner)
• Basic wiring, sensor installation, and introductory software configuration (Beginner–Intermediate)
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings (Beginner)
• Understand and follow jobsite and electrical safety practices (Basic)

• High willingness and ability to learn technical concepts and procedures
• Attention to detail in documentation, wiring, and configuration tasks
• Effective communication with mentors, journeymen, and supervisors
• Dependability, punctuality, and teamwork
• Basic problem-solving and adaptability in dynamic field environments

Pay

Hourly base pay range: $15.07 - $45.21. Compensation is tailored to factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
