About the role
Control Solutions, a Crete United Company, is a full-service Honeywell ECI-Elite level Building Automation/Controls installation and service company. The Install group is responsible for the installation of components, equipment, and devices for building automation projects within the Controls division or in support of other divisions (Service, HVAC Install, etc.). As the face of the company in the field, the Install group represents the company professionally in front of customers and contractors.
The Controls Foreman acts as a project lead for assigned projects, assisting Project Managers in the successful installation and delivery of controls projects. In a supervisory role, the Controls Foreman oversees and directs Controls Installers to ensure projects are completed in a workmanlike manner, adhering to department standards. This role works under the supervision of the Project Manager, providing regular field updates to ensure proper allocation of manpower, materials, and resources for timely and profitable project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Act as a field leader on assigned projects to assist with the installation of building automation systems.
- Receive direction from Project Managers and carry out tasks in a workmanlike manner.
- Provide direction to Controls Installers and ensure tasks are completed properly.
- Carry out wiring of low voltage and communication systems to building automation and HVAC equipment.
- Perform and oversee the installation of conduit, tubing, BAS controllers, and HVAC sensors/components.
- Ensure installation components (e.g., conduit, cable, wire, fittings) are properly procured, delivered, and laid out for timely and efficient installation.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for the delivery of components or tools needed for projects.
- Attend and participate in construction meetings, providing updates on job progress, issues, or coordination items.
- Attend Engineering to Field turnover meetings.
- Assist Software Technicians in point-to-point checks, system functionality checks, and project commissioning.
- Generate and complete project checkout documentation prior to Software implementation.
- Assist the Project Manager in generating and completing project documentation (e.g., updating schedules, two-week lookaheads, RFIs, redline drawings, job re-estimates).
- Assist the Software Technician in Owner’s Training.
- Ensure every project is installed in adherence to department quality standards.
- Address and correct punch list items prior to project completion.
- Provide support to other team members to complete tasks on time as instructed by management.

Pay
$28 - $40 hourly starting wage. Pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location, and may vary based on candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
