About the role
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support validation and data quality efforts for Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and industrial control systems in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Populate and maintain Digital Cause and Effect (DiCE) metrics tables using established templates and validation processes.
- Clean, organize, and validate large datasets to ensure data accuracy and reporting quality.
- Perform consistency checks across multiple data sources.
- Track validation progress and provide status updates to project stakeholders.
- Execute detailed tag-by-tag comparisons between Cause and Effect (CandE) documentation and supporting references, including instrument lists, I/O lists, and logic narratives.
- Identify and document discrepancies such as missing tags, duplicate entries, naming inconsistencies, and incorrect associations.
- Validate SIS and control system tags for completeness, accuracy, and consistency across documentation and systems.
- Escalate unresolved issues with clear documentation and supporting evidence to senior engineering personnel.
Qualifications
- Experience working with industrial control systems, including Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), DCS, PLCs, and instrumentation.
- Strong understanding of Cause and Effect (CandE) documentation and validation processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience working with large datasets.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive validation tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and written communication skills.
Pay
$57.14 / hr
