About the role
This role supports our end to end lifecycle and training service scopes. You will own the creation and maintenance of detailed documentation for protection and controls systems, ensuring that all drawings and schematics match the actual installations.
Responsibilities
- Develop electrical one-line diagrams and control-circuit wiring schematics in AutoCAD Electrical
- Create panel layout drawings, terminal block diagrams, and cable schedules
- Generate network architecture diagrams such as PRP dual-star topology, switch-to-IED connectivity, and IRIG-B distribution paths
- Produce as-built documentation packages including red-line incorporation and QC against installed equipment
- Prepare technical training materials for relay maintenance, control logic, and control circuits
Requirements
- 5+ years of controls documentation or electrical CAD engineering experience for industrial/power systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for creating one-line diagrams, control schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules
- Understanding of protection relay wiring, including CT/PT connections, trip/close circuits, and control power distribution
- Experience with red-line incorporation and as-built drawing management
- Familiarity with protection and controls documentation standards for turnover packages
Qualifications
- Bluebeam Revu for document review and markup
- Revit for 3D panel/enclosure modeling
- Network diagram production for industrial Ethernet (PRP, VLAN, switch topology)
- Technical training material development for maintenance personnel
Skills
- AutoCAD Electrical proficiency: one-line diagrams, control schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, cable schedules
- Understanding of protection relay wiring: CT/PT connections, trip/close circuits, control power distribution
- Red-line incorporation and as-built drawing management — maintaining accuracy across design revisions
- Familiarity with protection and controls documentation standards for turnover packages
