Controller/ Senior Bookkeeper

About the role

AQFS is a rapidly growing company seeking a detail-oriented team player who wants to grow with us. This is a fast-paced department, so the ability to multitask and stay organized is extremely important. You’ll report directly to the CFO and play a key role in the company’s accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable & accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and cash accounts
• Prepare general ledger entries & month-end adjustments
• Assist with payroll processing and accuracy checks
• Support monthly reporting & account reconciliations
• Assist with audit preparation and financial documentation
• Maintain organized financial records
• Support accounting and finance projects as needed

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Public accounting or CPA firm background strongly preferred (not required)
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
