Controller - Non-Profit

About the role

Well established non-profit organization located in the San Gabriel area is looking for a Controller. While overseeing a small accounting team and reporting to the CFO, the Controller will be responsible for the day to day accounting functions of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring efficient accounting policies and procedures (i.e., fiscal budget process, regulatory and government audits, overseeing month / quarter/ year-end closes, A/P, A/R, payroll, etc.)
• Review payroll
• Conduct business analytics
• Help manage government grants and funded programs
• Lead cyclical audits
• Prepare regulatory compliance documents
• Prepare tax filings
• Partake in strategic business operations decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Strong non-profit industry / government funded program experience
• CPA and / or MBA is preferred
• 8+ years of accounting and finance experience
• At least four years of experience in a management capacity
• Strong systems skills - including Excel

Pay

$130 - 140k.
