Controller - Manufacturing

About the role

The Controller will work closely with the President, a part-time Consultant/CFO, and manage a small team to handle accounting and finance functions for a well-established manufacturing company near Downtown Los Angeles. This role involves ensuring efficient accounting policies and procedures, driving process automation, and monitoring staff production.

Responsibilities

• Manage the fiscal budget and general ledger
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Conduct bank and account reconciliation
• Prepare financial statements and journal entries
• Analyze accruals and prepare cash flow and cyclical variance reports
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Produce financial reporting documents
• Lead strategic analysis and collaborate with external audit teams and business partners
• Enhance accounting policies and procedures and implement process automation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• MBA or CPA is ideal but not required
• Manufacturing or food processing industry experience (costing, inventory, reporting, etc.)
• Proven leadership ability and management experience
• Background in enhancing accounting policies and implementing process automation
• Strong ERP systems and MS Office skills
• Hands-on approach and ability to work with various personnel
• Solid career track record
• Ability to thrive in a family atmosphere

Pay

$130,000 – $150,000
