We are a growing manufacturing company with an established operation and an entrepreneurial mindset. As the business continues to expand, we are looking for a Controller to take ownership of the accounting and finance function and help build the infrastructure needed for the next stage of growth.

Responsibilities
- Own the company's day-to-day accounting and finance operations
- Lead and develop the accounting team and establish clear processes and accountability
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Oversee the general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and reconciliations
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements and management reporting
- Develop meaningful reporting around margins, profitability, costs, and operational performance
- Partner directly with the President/GM on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning
- Build and maintain cash flow forecasts and proactively identify potential cash needs
- Oversee inventory accounting, costing, and inventory reconciliations
- Partner with operations and manufacturing leadership to analyze labor, material, overhead, and production costs
- Monitor manufacturing variances and identify opportunities to improve margins and profitability
- Establish and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve existing accounting workflows
- Support annual audits, tax filings, banking relationships, and other external financial requirements
- Partner with outside CPAs, tax advisors, auditors, and other financial partners
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting requirements
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decisions
- Help build the financial infrastructure necessary to support continued growth
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior Controller or Accounting Manager experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
- Experience leading a month-end close and producing accurate financial statements
- Manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory, standard costing, COGS, and manufacturing variances
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Dynamics, SAP, or similar
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
- Experience managing and developing an accounting team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with non-financial leaders
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
Pay
$100,000 - $140,000 per year
