Responsibilities

  • Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
  • Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President, COO and CFO concerning strategic planning.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
  • Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches and/or new service offerings.
  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Cook up and execute audit activity.
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the organization’s financial status.
  • Aid the organization's leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Experience with Sage 300 software
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
